"When you first have a baby your life doesn't change. I mean, you have a little less sleep and you drag those cuddly things around you and it's amazing. But you still get to be you. Once they get to, like, five, six and school and it starts to get, like, 'Wow, they've got real problems. They're my responsibility.' Oh my God. That is overwhelming." — singer Gwen Stefani
I like kids, but for me it's always been about babies. The newer, the better. Lie them down, they stay put. Change them, walk them, cuddle them, feed them is about all you need to do. But like Ms Stefani, I noticed too that as they grew so did their needs and their problems, many of which the answers for are not easy.
My favourite stage of childhood is unfortunately as we all know, rather short-lived. I remember how swiftly each of my kids became a real little person, usually when they headed off to school, and the tiny bit of sadness that went along with it. Those early days went much too fast. So I therefore relish the opportunity to snuggle a little one every chance I get. They are just so darn cute.
Much like these collections of baby illustrations.

Of course, I'm not talking about the quality you used to get decades ago with film and your good old Brownie. And certainly not talking either about the level of expertise that went along with that particular camera. I remember Mom and Dad standing miles away from their subject to take a photo, with little thought to anything other than taking a picture. There was certainly no time given to such considerations as lighting or framing. People quite simply just captured the moment.
Today's digital technology, and the ability to let you see instantly what you've taken, has given birth to an entirely new kind of amateur photographer, one who is taking great pictures and generally trying to improve. But, it also means you can shoot black and white or convert your coloured shots with ease. And if you care about the results, there are ways to guarantee you get the best.
These links will take you to several sources with expert advice, including one who explains why black and white has seen a resurgence in popularity.

Who yearned for a land o'er the sea.
To a place that was green,
Such beauty to be seen
T'was in Ireland she longed to be.
Amid the German blood that courses through my veins is a little drop of Irish and it is that I sometimes think which is the strongest. Ireland and my family are the only two things that could ever entice me to get on an airplane. I'd love to see that country. I can almost see myself trekking over the lush green hills or wandering through quaint villages and medieval castles.
I also love to listen to their lyrical dialect, read stories by their authors and watch the films of their movie makers. I am in truth enamoured by all things Irish.
And all of this knowing it's not perfect. Its history has been colourful and often tragic. People speak of the dreary weather, but also of the Emerald Isle's beauty and the spirit of its inhabitants. Spiritual leader Marianne Williamson once said, "We may have bad weather in Ireland, but the sun shines in the hearts of the people and that keeps us warm."
That warmth and sunshine is no more evident than in the annual Irish celebration of Saint Patrick's Day, which is now less than a month away, and which has been adopted by people of many nationalities in many countries. So to honour this time of leprechauns, shamrocks and pots of gold, a time, according to Adrienne Cook, that begins "transforming winter's dreams into summer's magic", we offer these enchanting image collections.

Other than during the crazy whirl of the Christmas frenzy, hitting the malls is one of my favourite pastimes. And the end of any season is always a good time to do so. Retailers are trying to clear out the stock to make way for the new and finally have it priced at what it's worth rather than with the usual 200% markup. Sales abound.
With everyone offering the same deals, finding the images to make you stand out from the others is important. These sites with royalty-free photos and illustrations have great variety affordable pricing to help you create promotional materials for advertising your great deals.
